In Memoriam f,. During the fall of 1951, Hancock students were shocked and grieved at the tragic death of Rose DuMond, a friend and schoolmate. Rose, a Junior in high school, had been active in sports and music and was well-liked among her classmates. It is with deep sorrow and SYMDBUDI, that we, the Class of 1952, extend this sentiment in memory: It seemeth such a little way to us Across that strange COUHUTY-'QUE Bdyondg And yet not strange, for it has grown to be The home of those of whom we are so fond. They make it seem-familiar and most dear, As Journeying friends bring distant regions near. we cannot make it seem a day to dread when from the dear earth we shall journey out Tb that still dearer country of the dead And join the lost ones, so long dreamed aboutg We love this world, yet shall we love to Amd meet the friends who wait for us,we know. 5
