Students and teachers gather in the halls to discuss the upcoming regional games. Action starts around 8:10 daily at Hammond High, especially around the old grandfather clock in the main hall or by the ever changing, but always interesting showcase. Although now silent, Grand Pap doesn’t miss a trick as students nudge him while being jostled by those attempting to get to their lockers for that forgotten Lit book. It’s a tradition to meet one’s friends in the Main Hall. Hammond High’s Herald seems to be the main highlight, as the students gather to discuss its contents. Activity is created each day in the book- store; selling of school supplies and game tickets are two major functions. The clock in the main hall is a favorite meeting spot as Hammond High students gather around it to chat about the day’s events. Page Three
