We became weary as our long iourney neared its end. The trip had been exciting, interesting, and well worth our time. Home once again! Hammond looked better than ever even though the same buildings, trains and smoke were still there. fjv Y, . if

THE WASHINGTON TRIP 3 With our suitcases piled high, we juniors and seniors who went on the Washington trip anxiously waited for the ll:O6 at the Erie Station. As the train sped through Ohio, we gathered in our own groups and munched on potato chips and drank Pepsi. Page Fourteen PARENTS, TEACHERS AND Following his return from Purdue University to check on the progress of the '56 graduates attending the univer- sity, Mr. Robert Brock met with their parents. Before the evening's activities at the PTA annual Back to School Night, Suzie Ebert's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Trapeau, discussed school studies and activities with Miss Leona Hawver. During the evening Suzie's parents experienced a typical school day. Mary Boyer, a senior, was advised and guided by Mr. Robert Brock, freshman counselor, Mr. C. T. Coleman, registrar, Miss laura Johnston, senior counselor, Miss Katherine Bollenbach, junior coun- selor, and Mr. Homer Hightower, sopho- more counselor.
