Autumn, the fall play and the first White shirts the boys have to wear since last year's promg our gang shivering on the bleachers while Suzie's boy friend kicks a pigskin around a muddy Heldg our auditorium ses- sionsg our school dances . . . and the other ones toog the inauguration of the new officers of the associationg and as simply as that, the season slips busily away.

Sophomore Cfau ,Gated Many allltleles The sophomore class omcers were John Parker, president, Tom Lunsford, vice-presi- dent, Evangeline Voris, secretary, and Loretta Alexander, treasurer. The class sponsor was Miss Work. David Brooks, Dick Dickerson, Maejette Erickson, Robert Kutak, Wayman McClen- don, Emily McGuire, John Parker, Richard Stein, and Monette Thompson were in the House of Representatives. Steve Markovich was the sophomore judge. The sophomore girls were active in G. A. C. Eighteen of the members were in G. A. C. Those on the volleyball team were Alexander, Carroll, Chambers, Gidney, Kalbac, Litz, Matthews, Sarantos, and Weaver. Those on the speed- ball team were Gidney, Kalbac, Carroll, Crutcher, Sarantos, Gifford, Weaver, Finger, Highsmith, Frets, Chambers, Hubbell, and Cuppy. Two sophomore boys, Jim Granack and Cecil Fergu- son, were on the varsity basketball team. Other sopho- more baskteball players were Adams, Ferree, Bwita, Wagen- blast, Mayberry, Schaeffer, Dubs, Brooks, Powers, Hughes, Homolla, Rinne, and McDonald. John Adams was on the cross-country team. Sophomores in the senior band were Grenzer, Freese, Barnett, Davis, Richter. Parker, Hulsey, Taylor, Janco. McGuire, Radloff, Reed, Bishop, Hoekma, Sumner, May, Ellingham, Standarski, Ballard, Wright, and Flitter were in the junior band. Orchestra members included Linville, Walters, and Ziehl. Those on the Herald staH were Hal Hester and Polly Parke. The sophomores were very active in music. There were 15 in the choruses. There were 11 in the glee club and 6 in the choir. Sophomores active in speech were Clark Wagner, Rob- ert Kutak, Mary Grant, and Evelyn Kowalisyn. uniord Sefeclecf 'varied jnlereald The Junior class was officiated by Art Bonneau, presi- dent, Ronald Stoltz, vice-president, Georgia Volkman, recorder, and Bill Gill, treasurer. Miss Johnson acted as class counselor. The Junior class sponsors were Miss Strange and Mr. Overman. Members of the House of Representatives included Dick Conoway, Tom Daily, Marilyn Eidam, Skippy How- ard, Bob Hunter, Betty Laird, Edwin Lasbury, Anne Narantic, Lois Rhinesperger, Arnold Schmidt, Johanna Solan, Ronnie Spearman, Carol Turner, Georgia Volkman, Robert Will, and Wanda Williams. Tom Hayden acted as junior judge. Pat Pickford, Gerri Duney, Gerald Rush, Ray Charles- ton, Shirley Spicker, and Joan Strauss served on the Her- ald staff. Junior girls were especially active in sports. Members of the G. A. C. included Arlene Baugh, Ann Buleninee, Barbara Chandler, Lorraine Chasteler, Judy Clancy, Jean- ette Fandrei, Esther Freese, Beverly Keith, Joan Koval, Doris Meyers, Dorothy Miller, Helen Morse, Ann Narantic, Norma Pavelchek, Joan Sharbak, Barbara Stromske, Ruth Tanasijevieh, Eleanor Weigly, Joan W'ilson, and Pauline Zizoff. Russell Smiddy, Don White, Charles Burke, W'alter Johnson, were active in visual aids. The bookstore staff was predominantly junior and included Lola Schetfel, Louis Diament, Alice Sasewich, Lois Mair, Virginia Bell, Robert Ballard, Helen Pryde, and Barbara Heavey. Dave Anderson, Dick'nStraig'I1t,A Steve Riebe' Chu'K Doppler, and Al Schultz played Varsity The cross-country team was aided by the efforts Har- per and Gerald Graves. The junior class sented on the football team. Brandenburg, Walden Owen, T T Jack Farn, Bill Crowe, Art John Kleighe, Ralph Grinter, Tom John Morfas, Cliff Dykstra, Vic Joe Kicho, Don MacLean, Henry Nor- man Zizoff. Pauline Zizoff was the only Pauline Zizoif, Arlen Shobe, and Jack Belshaw added pep as cheerleaders. on the Dunes staff.
