FALL 1969 . .. Students became actively interested and involved members of the Ham- line Community. We asked to be heard by the faculty and administra- tion, to voice our opinion on issues relevant not only to the campus, but to the nation as well. We par- ticipated in a Day of Concern and expressed our feelings about the war in Vietnam. Under the leadership of Jr. Class President Ed Holland an opinion poll was taken that showed general dissatisfac- tion with the faculty decision to move to -4-i-4 next year. Over 800 students respond- ed to the poll and of these 87W were either opposed to or undecided about the change. One group of students, upset with what they called the arbitrary dismissal power of the deans, staged a sit-in in Dean Skin- ner's office to protest the dismissal of a student.
