I, Clifford McComas, having a sound mind and no disposition whatsoever do hereby will and bequeath to Thelma Browning, my Chemistry book providing she can get more out of it than I did. I, Delphia Lawson, being of a strong mind and unusually quiet disposition do hereby will and bequeath to Keith Roberts, my seat on the school bus beside Anna Cummings. I, Donald Riley, being of a corrupt mind and goofy disposition do hereby will and bequeath to the teachers of Hamlin High School my brogue, cleverness, Irish accents, and my football position to Jackie Chaney. I, Mary Salmons, having a feeble mind and backward disposition do hereby will and bequeath to Joyce McComas, Ralph Sam Black providing she can keep him better than I did. I, Phil Old Timer Burns, having a strong mind and no body whatsoever do hereby will and bequeath to Fred Curry, my position as head manager of the football team. I, Karl, Richard, Dickie, Sandy, Persimmon, Pucker, Ashland Twist, Hager, having a weak mind and weak body do hereby will and bequeath to Gene Adkins, my ability not to work in Speech Class and make passing grades. I, Uncle Joe Linville, watersoaked mind and disposition no one else would have do hereby will and be- queath to Jerry Hot Rod Roberts my ability to drive at a reasonable speed and to get there safe, (not over 20 miles per hour) I, Wynona Triplett, being of sound mind and not much body do hereby will and bequeath to Deloris Thompson, my ability to skip school and get caught and also make F’s and A's. F's in everything and A’s in nothing. I, Marietta Neal Lovejoy, being of sound mind and wrecked disposition do hereby will and bequeath to Helen Powell, my ability to hurry and be a Senior , so she can marry before she completes school like I did. I, Dennis Chalkeye Browning, being of sound body and a mind which is not yet fully developed do hereby will and bequeath my position as Center and Captain on the football team to Lawrence Wesley Buck- shot” Curry, but he has to make the honor roll as I did in order to keep his position.

I, Rose Mary Ross, being of a sound mind and a loud and noisy disposition do hereby will and bequeath to Corena Ross, my bookkeeping book providing she uses it more than I did. I, Betty Bias, Patsy Chaney, and Betty Madden, being of very sound minds and quiet, very, very, lady like dispositions do hereby will and bequeath, our nickname The Rough, Rooting Tooting Shooting Trio to any three suckers of Hamlin High School, providing they stick together as long as we have without saying a good word to each other. I, Paul Dailey, having a mind that God passed by and a run down body do hereby will and bequeath to Billy Plumley, one-half of my brains, because if he takes Typing II he will need them. I, Pauline Blankenship, having a one track mind, a personality no one else would have so God gave it to me, and no brains whatsoever do hereby will and bequeath to Janet Adkins, anything she wants in exchange for her big brother, Cecil Clyde Adkins. I, Muriel Sponaugle, having a well developed body and not so well developed brain do hereby will and bequeath to Phyllis Sponaugle, my ability to have as many girlfriends as boyfriends while a senior. I, Bradley Adkins, being short of body and short of mind, do hereby will and bequeath my ability to make A's in school and my luck to be in the National Honor Society to Benny Smith because of his need for it. I, Phyllis Elliott, having a slightly used brain and a body that developed one way more than it did the other, do hereby make this my last will and testament, to Penola Scites, I will my ability to go through school without doing anything and when I do something it's always wrong. I, Jo Ann Pauley, being of stubborn mind and a body which developed a little too much, do hereby will and bequeath my ability to get along with boys and men to nobody because I need that myself. I, Helen Scites, having a poorly constructed body and one spark plug mind, do hereby make this my last will and testament. To my little sister (she's bigger than I am) Jane Scites, I will my ability to get out of class all through school, never study at home and have as much fun.
