MLPI FL ...J For the third straight year, the 1963 Hamlet track team, led by captains Robie Clark, Larry Rogers, and Benny Suggs, went undefeated and also won the South- eastern Conference District Championship. The team made good showings at the Duke- Durham relays and the Florence relays and they placed second in the Carolinas Jr. Olympics. The high scorers for the year were Benny Suggs with 69 points and Robie Clark with 59 points. At the conclusion of the season their teammates chose Benny Suggs as the re- cipient of the most valuable player trophy and Larry Rogers the most improved trophy. This year's team should be as good as, or better, than last year's, because there wasn't a senior on the 1963 squad. Robie Clark displays his form as Carl Richardson looks on.
