LAST WILL And TESTAMENT May 30, 1953 We, the Senior Class of Nineteen Hundred Fifty-Three, being of doubtful mind and sound body hereby declare this to be the Last Will and Testament of said Senior Class. This will therefore annuls and revokes any will for wills made heretofore. ITEM I To the faculty we leave our gratitude for molding the rough freshman clay into thestatue of manhood now ready to face the future with confidence and determination to succeed. ITEM II Shirley Baucom leaves one big headache, the annual, to Nancy Cato in hopes that she has aspirin money saved up. Sonny Bennett at last leaves the Hub', to Tommy Hendricks. Dot Billingsley leaves her country brogue to any city slicker who can out ain't her. Robert Bishop leaves his Indiana brogue to Andy Howell to match her Southern drawl. Peggy Io Blakely relinquishes her sunny smile to Mr. Haltiwanger so he can use it when next year's senior class wears his old one out. Joyce Breeze bequeathes her quiet manner to Rhoda Williams as an improvement. Mary Belle Brigman leaves a worn out short- hand book to next year's ambitious students. Iack Brigman bequeathes his ability to make furniture in the shop to Mr. Moses, the instructor. Bonnie Carnes leaves her ease in blushing to Ann Dozier. Clarke Carroll leaves his ability to become invisible on the football field by turning side- ways to any end with the proper physique. Johnny Carter leaves his curly hair to Blue Flame Cue Ball McManus. Barbara Coxe leaves her Home-Ec. sewing ability to any poor freshman who needs it. Jo Ann Cox leaves her hair to Barbara Gibson so that she won't have to roll it every night. Patty Dukes leaves her great algebra ability to needy Tony Evans. Claudette Epting leaves her job as program and drink salesgirl at the ballgames to next year's Y-Teen Club. Ike Gainey leaves his enormous height to Dickie Snyder. Beverly Gibson leaves her annual typist's ability to next year's nuts. Ieanette Gibson leaves her blonde hair to Lillie Gill Gross so she can save money on peroxide. Melrose Grant leaves his hunting ability to Andy Waddell. Martin Hatcher leaves two teeth on the foot- ball field to keep the grass trimmed. Betty Iean Haynes leaves her quiet manner to Ann Parker. Andy Hemphill leaves one beat-up baritone horn and the Hamlet Band to a better future. Peggy Hendley leaves her love for the movies to Melba Thompson. Pete Hornaday leaves because of old age and bequeaths his ability to keep secrets to Liz Howellf, Tat Howell leaves the Sandspur business manager's job to anyone who will take it. 26 5
