Although we had already acquired the title, the class of l96O , we were more popularly known as underclassmen . At first, the upperclassmen considered us as valueless, but soon we proved our worth with our scholastic abilities and achievements in other fields. At Hamilton we became acquainted with many new activities, such as presenting Green Pastures and Oklahoma , attending night basketball games, singing in the cafeteria, we made the change from six to seven periods a day. Don- ald Tulodieski, president in our sophomore year, soon gained recognition for our class by performing his duties in an excellent man- ner. Our big day was Sophomore Day and, l9 'iq W wearing our class buttons of blue and white, we spent part of the day in one of our favorite ways-dancingll The year terminated with a feeling of sadness, for our class was soon to be split up, half of us would go to Hamilton High School-West and the rest to Hamilton High School-East. Back to Steinert and our future alma mater for our junior year. We, as upperclassmen, had a big part in this year of making decisions for our new high school. Green and white were chosen to be our school colors, the Spartan became our mascot, and a seal for Steinert was chosen. Frank Szabo was our leader as we set precedent upon precedent in our junior year.
