From the seniors anxiously awaiting graduation to the sophomores trying to feel their way through the year, all of us are looking forward to school activities and final- ly, summer. Being in high school is better than being in junior high. There is more freedom, differ- ent people, and better food, said Shane Wells, a sophomore. I'm looking forward to graduation, but it's such a drastic change. I may not see people that I was really good friends with for another 10 years, commented Jodi Graves. We will never again be the same people together in the same situation, but for the time we shared; Ms. Phillips and her over- head projector, the spirit shown during pep rallies, Mr. White's sudden uncontrollable ac- tions, and the cafeteria's cinnamon rolls; we are the classes of 88, 89, and 90. LION QUEEN FINALISTS Renee Carle Alicia Byrd Alicia fay Byrd is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Byrd. Alicia is a mem- ber of the student council, vice presidnet of MMS and FBLA. Alicia plans to attend the University of AR at Fayetteville and her major is undecided. In her spare time she enjoys cheering for the Lions, play- ing basketball, and shopping. 18 LlOn QUEEN FinALISTS Renee Diane Carle is the daughter of Mr. Leonard Carle and Mrs. Mina Bostic. Renee is active in many different organi- zations. She is NHS president, yearbook co-editor, and student council secretary. Renee plans to attend the University of AR at Fayetteville and major in business education. She enjoys hanging out with friends, cheering for the Lions, and eat- ing Chinese food.
