Coach Coleman first came to Hamburg as an as- sistant under Don Crews for several years, before leaving Hamburg for Smackover. Later, he came back to Hamburg as junior high coach. Now, as head senior coach, his leading records can partly be attributed to his winning attitude and interest in his work. In 1972, he was named “Coach of the Year.” Since then, he has continued to turn out 8-A A championship teams. Some of his winning records are 5-3-1, 8-3, 8-2, and 7-1-3. Winning the 8-AA title has always been a dream in Hamburg, and he, along with some fine players made it come true. 3
