A Time . . . To Be Creative The journalism class reports school news in regu- lar editions of THE HAMBURGER. To Report Art provides students with different shades of thought. It was added to the curriculum this year and students have worked with free form designs, pastels, charcoals, pull-string designs, mosiacs, and oils. Kay Smith, Mary Burnette, David Jenkins, and Mike Sanderlin wish for a trip to France. In addition to learning a second language, French students explore the customs, history, and culture of a foreign country. To Explore Steve White and Dickie O'Neal paint with oils. Melba Girtmon types while Suellen Wilcoxon and Jacqueline Hill do paste-ups. Judy Smith is busy writing a news story. 24

A Time . . . To Plant; A Time To Pluck New methods are taught in agri classes to provide valuable assistance to the future farmers. Danny Gulledge, James Gwin, and Dale Streeter plant a pine seedling. To Sew Girls in home economics classes learn helpful homemaking hints that will be useful when they have homes of their own. Debbie Pullin and Gail Streeter learn the art of dressmaking. To Learn Skills Various skills are taught in industrial arts. A course in offset printing was introduced this year. 6 r ; Ul c. l0IJ,'S Ronnie Copeland, Bobby Wright, and Fred Hogan are in the class that prints the school paper. 25
