 Queen Debbie leaves the field with her escorts - Mr. Harold Holland, her father and co-captains Alan Davis and James Spivey. The mascots are Kim Martin and Jim Rankin. The Lionettes planned homecoming, decorated the gym and field, and then marched in the parade. Fairyland Fantasies The homecoming court poses in front of an appropriate drop - - the stairway to a castle. Kim Crews, representing the junior class, poses on the castle lawn. Sophomore maids, Betty Timmons and Jean White, added to the beauty of their float. F.F.A. members built an airplane, but some football boys made themselves available for the picture.

Linda Brown and Melanie Drake proudly represent the senior class. Homecoming '71 The 1971 homecoming theme was Fairyland Fantasies. In a coronation ceremony in the gym on October 29, Debbie Holland was crowned queen by Co-captain James Spivey. Alan Davis presented the queen a bou- quet of red roses. The royal court was entertained with a program planned by the Lionettes. In the parade that followed, the senior class took first place in the float competition with a Jack in the Beanstalk theme. The seventh grade float entitled Snow White and Rose Red won the junior high award. Queen Debbie and her maids were presented in pre- game ceremonies at the football field. They were es- corted by their fathers. A perfect ending to the homecoming celebration came when the Lions defeated the Lake Village Beavers. Kav Barnes, junior maid, is shown in the fairyland garden. Mrs. Smith gives a helping hand to Fred Hogan on the library assistants' float.

Homecoming Western Style Queen Peggy and her maids are pictured at the homecoming game. The Cubettes chose a western theme for the junior high homecoming on October 28. Peggy Harris was crowned queen and she and her maids reigned over the program in the gym and the football game that night when the Cubs defeated Dumas. They participat- ed in the parade the next day. Susan Spivey and Sue Sink were ninth grade homecoming maids. Mrs. Coats and Mrs. Jaggers gave last minute instructions. A group of gypsies performed. The seventh grade float won first place in the junior high division. Eighth grade maids were Tammy Bonds and Lisa Carpenter. Cancan girls, all members of the Cubettes. danced for the queen. Flo Jenkins and Robbin Turner represented the seventh grade. It's official now • - homecoming queen
