September 17-First football game--Star City defeated Lions, 20-6. September 20-John Howard found in the Girl’s Dressing Room. September 21-First Annual Staff Meeting (Oh, Brother!) September 23-Out of school for the fair parade. October 1-First football win of the season. Beat Strong 7-0. October 4-School Pictures made. October 7-Band went to State Fair. October 9-Miss Shush and Mr. Hush contest answered. October 22-Homecoming Football game-Beat White Hall 13-0. October 25-Senior Class Box Supper at Aliece’s. October 28-Halloween Carnival in the gym. October 29-Peggy Newsom became Peggy Holland. November 9-Seniors had food sale. November 25-Football thriller of the season, tied with Crossett 6-6. December 3-Football banquet at the Lion’s Den’’. December 21-Basketball girl’s had a bunking party at Miss Brown’s. December 22-Palmer and Bierbaum slept in English class-again! January 1 3- 14-Mid-term tests. January 22-Basketball girls lost first game to Desha Central. January 28-Betty Venters was married to Sammy Griffin. February 3-Junior Play. February 7-Seniors ordered invitations.
