More than simply a collection of photographs or a record of school activities, a yearbook that is faithful to truth compels us toward an understanding of one another which transcends the frozen, kaleido scopic images of a present moment, A yearbook reveals to us ourselves as we are seen by others, and those with whom we have not been acquainted are portrayed not at all unlike ourselves. The lesson offered by a yearbook is that we have never really been alone in our moments of happiness, sorrow, frustration, elation and dreams. Like the script of a play, a yearbook creates for us a sense of deja vu and an opportunity to test our experiences against those collectively shared. I join with you in offering my thanks - and congratulations - the staff of Echoes '77 and their advisor, Mr. George Mikolaiczyk. MR.
