' , l Student Council The Student Council, under the able guidance of Mr. Ravel and Mr. Ulrich, has provided a solution to many of the school problems which have arisen this year. In the council sessions the homeroom presidents and vice presidents, led by I'll Take a Dozen. Is There a Second? President Sam Dugan, discussed these problems and presented their suggestions to the student body and administration. The Council offers other valuable services throughout the year. Sponsorship and support are provided for the student exchange pro- gram. The Council assists in the oper- ation of the merit award system, and supervises such school activities as the refreshment stand at football games. fx 1 957 'aff

His leadership in achieving and maintain- ing high standards will always remain an inspir- ation to every student and alumnus. We can never thank him enough for his fairness in understand- ing and his encouragement in handling student problems. Mr. Gottshall , Q , sf, QS ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL was SECRETARIES Mrs. Meyn, Miss Bogardus We are grateful to Mr. Gottshall for his work as assistant principal. His welcome advice and counsel have ever been beneficial to us. Mr. Gott- shall also directs the Merit Award program and has done much to stimulate interest in it. Both Mrs. Meyn and Miss Bogardus, Mr. Ra- vel's secretaries, are always ready with cheerful smiles and willing suggestions to guide the daily activities of the student body.
