The many colored threads of the plaid cover V represent the varied phases of our school life. For all their colorfulness, G' they do not give a lasting effect until they have been woven together. Our teachers have worked carefully and patiently to combine their individual courses and activities into a beautiful material. It is our hope - to preserve this blend. With the wish that this annual will serve its purpose in recording the successes and companionships of the past year, we call to mind a poem of Robert Burns: Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And never bro't to mind? ' Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And days of auld lang sync? 2 5. . w 3 gy A fl 'I 1 . l 1: . The play was concerned with the hopes and fears and wonders that twine like wisteria around a porch. It introduced us to Georgia, or George as the other folks on the porch called her, and her joy in living and talking to Grandpa and playing jacks. The play told us of unimportant people, people who do not count for much in the bump and bustle of modern living. The Front Porch took us away from the big things of life, like wars and elections, and introduced us to faith and reality and the peace of a porch. at vie x W' ov' 5 rf- I , We 00069 .,-FN, wsasw ,, V, ,..,- W L ww S' J, ' in uv an o s ,NDI M 004 pn B n I J, ,.... .WA ve? ,Y x .. we-W q,,ytxC:. ,A ,, L r ml Wm! 6,460 pl A , f- mtv- ev. ,nn ,, -A ,Re ww ,aw aw, Lx L, . -was Net dn. vw 6 1 . me xt. ,mf vw- -we yi W, w vmcsww NNW -dSNN.91uAg,,t sn 1- kwa. . SOCIAL STUDIES BUSINESS The business courses taught in our school give business students the specialized knowledge and skills needed in their chosen phase of work. Miss Mont teaches shorthand, transcription, and secretarial and office practice. Under the able teaching of Mr. Huntley, the students learn book- keeping and accounting, and business arithemetic. Under Mr. Detlefson's capable instruction, the students are taught typing and business law. Albion COACH JAYNE, CAPTAIN HAWS, HEAD COACH RODIEK The Bulldogs had an average season this year, winning three games and losing three. The team was ably led both in spirit and play by Captain Bill Haws. Our coaches, Mr. Rodiek and Mr. Jayne, directed untiring efforts towards teaching good football. The team played their best defensive ball when they upset Dunkirk 6-0 in their first game. At Albion the offense clicked, registering many long gains. Along with Bill Haws, seniors Bob Boyce, Russ Ahrens, Al Bodge, Dean Anderson, Dave Haas, Barry Parsons, Bob Twohey, Jerry Kirkby, jim Dougherty, and jan Fawcett saw much action.
