They remove the snow in the winter and replace the broken windows in the summer, thus keeping the school in general repair. We send them our thanks. Our cafeteria under Q the direction of Mrs. Colvin, offers both students and teachers a well balanced lunch, consisting of a variety of nutritious foods. Every noon hour, the cafe- teria accommodates its full capacity, as Mrs. Kent, the cashier, well knows. Smooth opera- Hamburg Schools have a program organized and de- signed to safe-guard the HEALTH of all pupils. An integral part in the school program, the Health Service, is under the guidance of Miss Stevenson, School Nurse Teacher. Many students carry their lunches and eat in the cafeteria. A sep- arate window, managed by a senior girl, was set up for those students wanting only milk, ice cream, or candy. Every year, as part of the annual health check-up, we have a dental examination. Miss Kava- nagh keeps careful records of dental work done in each person's mouth from year to year. lt is always interesting to look at the decorations in her office and it is one experi- ence of our life that we will not forget. Ll B The library is probably the busiest room in school. lt is here under the capable guidance of Miss Riehle that the students have access to a large number of books, magazines, and newspapers which are both educational and entertaining. GU I Under the capable guidance of Miss Rob- son, students are given personal counseling on choosing their high school course, deciding on the college they wish to attend, choosing their life work, and getting a job. She has files of material on colleges and careers in her office. Career Day ,is wholly her responsibility. The students of Miss johnson's American His- tory class find the current publications of fic- tion and nonfiction most important in doing their daily assignments. Special library classes have been given during regular English classes to help the students become better acquainted with library reference materials. IO
