Camp, Doran, Mitscher, Mumbach, Kunerth, Elliott, Ulrich, Banks, McFarland, Korst, Mr. Leader, Sipprell, Woodward, Nye, Slighter, Baer, Neuman, Pritchard, Fenger, Pendleton, Creighton, Hartman, Wirtner, Kranz, Fitzpatrick. STUDENT CUUNCIL The Student Council is a representative organization composed of homeroom presidents and vice-presidents, who govern the student body. Sponsored by this group are: the Traffic Squad, an efficient force responsible for maintaining order in the halls, the bookstore which aids pupils in buying and selling second hand textbooks, and the Merit Award system which encourages students to acquire well-rounded personalities. Uniting their efforts as representatives of their classmates, they are able to secure many additional advantages. To provide an opportunity for social contact during the year, the council promotes many sport dances. The strong spirit of cooperation which exists in our school is due to the incessant efforts of the Council. Evidence of their accomplishments is apparent in all phases of school life where it is possible to encourage student activity. Possessed of a friendly willingness to help their fellow class-mates, the members of this organization strive to increase the coordination between the Board of Education, faculty, and the student body. As an added recreation for their classmates this year, the Council sponsored a skating carnival and installed a new public address system in cooperation with the Sportsmanship Club. With so many achievements accredited to them, the Student Council may well be praised for the accomplishments of the past year.

PARENT TEACHERS ASSOCIATION The Parent Teachers Association-invaluable to the school, is a coopera- tive body formed to promote a better understanding between parents and teachers. The Clare Tree Major Players and numerous moving pictures were presented as a result of their educational efforts. Costuming plays, sponsoring dances, and aiding in many other ventures, the Parent Teachers Association has always been regarded as an indispensable factor of school life.
