OUR FIFTIETH YEAR The class of 1951 has the dlstlnctxon of belng the flftleth class to be gradu ated from Hallock Hlgh School The flrst class to recelve dlplomas was the class of 1902 The class of 1903 also had two graduates Theo lxonzen and Hxldred 'Hex ean The number of graduates lumped to nlne ln 1904 The onlv one of these students who now resldes ln Hallock IS C J Hemmmgson Judge of Probate for lxlttson County Attorney Art Bornemann was a member of the class of 1905 Another well known Hallock resident was a member of one of the flrst graduatlng classes hd 'Heh ean graduated ln the class of 1906 SIDCC that date the classes flnlshlng the four year hlgh school course of study have fluctuated ln slze but have gradually become larger and larger untll the average graduatlng class durlng the past few vears has had between twenty flve and forty members The class of 1950 numbered 28 whlle our class thls vear has thirty seven graduates The class of 1942 has the dlstlnctlon of being the largest class xn the hlstory of Hallock Hlgh School there belng forty four semors several years Smce the beglnnlng of HHS 1 013 students have recexved dlplomas ll'ldlCatlI1g that they have successfully comnl ted the four year course of study Today Hallock Hlgh School alumnl are to be found ln every tate ln Alaska and ln many South Amerlcan countrles One hundred exghty have been ln the service of thelr country Durmg the past flfty years there have been but slx superlntendents as admln lstrators of the Hallock Schools The supermtendent at the tlme of Hallock s flrst graduatlng class was C W Jackson He was followed ln the sprlng of 1904 by Edwxn B Bothe who served as superlntendent untll 1912 Ambrose Hayes headed the Hallock Schools from 1912 untll 1919 and A D Grlffln was here from 1919 unt1l 1921 John Hatt Brendal followed 'Hr Grlffln and served untll 1927 when Paul 0 Hanson was elected He has served contlnually from that date 'Hr Hanson re lgned 1n the sprlng of 1951 and the Board of hducatlon elected Supt L E Tryhus of Casselton 'North Dakota to succeed hlm A5 . , - . .
