Oboe: Donna Nlae Dockin. Director: Nlr. Rodney Weiss. Absent when picture was taken: Kenneth Jansen. BAND The llallock lligh School Band numbered 43 at the close of the school year. Of this number there N were 13 seniors, 9 iuniors, 8 sophomores, 10 freshmen, and 3 eighth graders. The Band was under the capable leadership of Xlr. llodney Weiss. 'lille group took part in the annual spring concert and received a rating of A at the llistrict llusic Festival. Other instrumental groups entered in this festival were the clarinet quartette, composed of Joanne Pearson, llilly Johnson, Barbara Gamble, and illary Lou Jansen, a trombone solo by Ray Drake, and a piano solo by Billy Johnson. All these numbers also received A ratings. The lland went on to receive a rating of B+ at the State Area Contest held at Thief lliver Falls. lvadale llosequist Drum iilajorette 23

Stephen and llallock did not play during the course of the regular season. The Bears lost a non- conference game to a good St. Thomas, North Dakota team, 12-0, Seniors on the team are Kenneth Jansen, Ray Drake, Buster Fowler, Robert Schulte, Roy Norum, Charles Swanson, and Parker Stroom. 25
