DOTY Lieutenant Commander Kevin Doty was born in Verdun, France, and, being the son of a Career Army Warrant Officer, was raised and educated in numerous locations around the world. Today, he considers Tacoma, Washington, his home of record. Following graduation from high school, LCDR Doty enlisted in the United States Naval Reserve and went on to perform his active duty in Vietnam on board the USS KEPPLER fDD765j and later with Tactical Electronic War- fare Squadron IIVAQJ 133. Upon his enlisted separation from the Navy, he attended college at the Evergreen State College, Olympia, Washington and started a construction sub-contracting business in Tacoma. He graduated from Evergreen in 1979, earning a liberal arts degree in management and social psychology. In January, 1980, LCDR Doty entered Officer Candidates School in New- port, Rhode Island, and was commissioned an Ensign in May of that year. Following commissioning, LCDR Doty served as Chief Engineer in the USS CONQUEST IMSO 488, for 30 months, fol owed by a 2 year tour as Propulsion Group Officer in USS CONSTELLATION ICV 645 as part of the Carrier Readiness Improvement Program. During this later tour he applied for, and was accepted into, the Training and Administration of Reserves QTARJ program. Immediately following his carrier tour, LCDR Doty was transferred to Naval and Marine Corps Resenfe Center, Salem, Oregon, for a three year tour as Commanding Officer. Upon his relief at Salem, LCDR Doty attended Surface Warfare Officer's Department Head and Prospective Executive Oflicer's Courses before assignment as Executive Officer of USS IMPLICIT IMSO 455Q, USS CONQUEST IMSO 4883 and USS ENHANCE QMSO 4371. LCDR Doty was then assigned to Naval Readiness Command Region Twenty-tvvo, Seattle, Washington, for 12 months, prior to accepting orders and transferring to USS HALEAKALA IAE 251 as Executive Officer. LCDR Doty has been awarded the Navy Commendation medal, Navy Achievement medal and various other personal, unit, service and campaign medals. He is married to the former Elizabeth fBettyJ Gray Dempsey, also of Tacoma, Washington, with whom he shares one child, daughter Eliza- beth fBethI Austin. 5 0

BRADLEY, USN 1 I Although born in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Commander Bradley considers himself native to Bristol, Virginia. He attended The CITADEL Military College 0f'S0lJlh Carolina in Charleston. Upon graduation in 1976, he was awarded a B. S. in Biol- ogy and received his commission into the Navy. T Commander Bradley's initial sea tour was aboard USS HAROLD E. H0l- QFF-10741. His follow-on afloat tours have been in USS OLIVER HAZARD PERRY QFFG-75 as the Combat systems Officer, uss GEMINI QPHM-6l a91the Executive Officer, and USS SANTA BARBARA IAE-281 as the Executive Olflqel- His shore tours include ASW tactics instructor duty at the fleet ASW Training Center in Norfolk, Virginia, and Chief Staff Officer for the Hydrofoll Squadfog PHMRON TWO in Key West, Florida. Prior to assuming command Of US. HALEAKALA in April 1992, Commander Bradley served on the OPNAV Staff 'V' Washington, D. C. with the Navy Planning and Programming Division tOP'807' While there, he headed the Fleet Maintenance Support section and served 39 3 program analyst for an appropriation account IOPNI. Commander Bradley attended the Navy's Postgraduate School at Monterelli California in 1988, where he received his Masters degree in Financial Manage' ment and subspecialty designation. Personal awards include the Meritorious 59 vice, three Navy Commendation, and the Navy Achievement Medal. H Commander Bradley is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Neace whQ Cllffen reside in Loudon, Tennessee. His wife is the former Dora Morrell of Bristol, Ten nessee. They have three sons, Todd, Douglas and Gabriel. ,I
