Qtafe The Hagerman Bobcats finished the regular season with a 7-1 record and the District 4-A Championship. This gave the Bobcats the right to go to Farmington and play Navajo Mission in Regional. At the half it was Navajo Mission 20, Hagerman 10, but the Bobcats put on a great comeback and won the game by a score of 31-26. This gave them the right to play Carrizozo in the State Championship Game in Roswell's Wool Bowl. It was a very tough game in which neither team was able to score until the final 16 seconds of the first half when Carrizozo threw a pass into the end zone for a TD. The second half was just as hard fought, but the Bobcats came up on the short end of a 20 to 7 score. Thus, the Bobcats became the State Class A Runner-llp team in only their second year of modern day football and the first year in a conference. 20
