THE PRINCIPADS ADDRESS To be educated today cannot be accomplished by the accum- ulation of a great many facts and figures. Our society is changing rapidly, and the world in which you will live and Work is not the same one in which you are being educated. John Paul Stapp, a well- known Air Force Colonel, has stateda philosophy which you might follow, if it is your intention now of someday being a vital part of the world of tomorrow which education will change, develop, and create. To be educated is to have learned how to learn, to have learned how to communicate learning, to have learned how to translate learning into action, to have learned how to create learning, to have learned how to seek and understand truth. 4
