OUR SCHOOL' nAmid the gleaming northern snows, beneath the Pilot Rangen, in the village of Groveton, and in the town- ship of Northumberland is situated Groveton High School. On the Eastern side of the Ammonoosue River,in l895, Groveton High School was established After a short time the building that had been used in previous years proved too small, so ln 1908 the second one was built This is now known as the Grammar School In 1916 HOUR SCHOOL' was made of the splendid brick that we stlll have This was built by the eagerness of the townspeople to cooperate for our interest As this is a very attractive bullding, we certainlyhave a good reason to do our snare and build up as high a name and standard of HOUR SCHOOLH as possible The motto of Groveton dign School is OUR SCHOOLHThus one thing makes the students appreciate their school Also, through this they have a desire to cooperate ln whatever way is necessary eroveton qlgh School is considered to be one of the leadin high schools in the North Country We are all proud of the school we have dere we are tau ht the fundamentals of education J learn how to play fair, to speak in public, to know the value of study and work, and how to share 1n de feats 1 well as victories There are four courses offered ln OUR SCHOOL' They are the Commerclallhe Academic, the General, and the Home Economlcs In G F the General course seems to be the course most of the students choose The courses are all very lnterestlng and are tau ht by teachers who are ex perlenced between the second and thlrd perlods ln the morning T113 period is used in several dlffcFCHt ways have slnglng, danclng, games, out of door sports,h1 klng and different knnds of clubs On Frlday, the actlvlty period 13 spent by having an assemb y inthe gymnasium These clubs, assemblles, etc are spon sored by different classes They are v ry lntere t lng and are enjoyed by the whole school O . . ! .
