Resolved That . . . The subject chosen for Debate this year was one which has been on the lips of many Americans and the basis of numer- ous arguments. The resolution --THAT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD ADOPT A PLAN OF SOCIALIZED MEDI- ClNE-attorded the members of both teams an opportunity to express their par- ticular views on this current problem. The affirmative side ot the question was presented on home grounds against Technical. But due to the lack of experi- ence on the part of our team, composed entirely ot sophomore students, we lost to the Engineers. Meanwhile, our negative team provided Riverside with some con- crete arguments opposing Socialized Med- icine, but Riverside rallied to a victory. Our Debaters of this year seem to be promising contenders for the City Cham- pionship in l95l. DEBA-rE'TOP: M. Gerace, C. Terranova, C. Caruso, A. Perla, J. Bellanti, C. Sperazza, BOT- TOM: D. VOCATIONAL RECEPTIONISTSfl-l. Stevenson, A. Celestino, B. Turner, J. Mantione, I. Rollain, A. Bellanca, R, Pirro. LATIN CLUB1Tl'1e newly-organized Latin Club has proved quite successful. A typical meeting includes the singing of Grover's Alma Mater translated into Latin, and Guadeamus lgitur and the playing ofthe popular game "2O Y 0 u r F u t u Questions", using objects familiar to early Roman life. Yes, Caesar is dead, but the Latin language still lives on in Grover Cleveland. Latina Permanebit FIRST: F. Campagna, D, Schreckengost, F. Bertini, N. Vella, C. DiVencenzo, J. Alaimo, P. Rossi, C.
