Resolved That . . .
The subject chosen for Debate this year
was one which has been on the lips of
many Americans and the basis of numer-
ous arguments. The resolution --THAT
THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD
ADOPT A PLAN OF SOCIALIZED MEDI-
ClNE-attorded the members of both
teams an opportunity to express their par-
ticular views on this current problem.
The affirmative side ot the question
was presented on home grounds against
Technical. But due to the lack of experi-
ence on the part of our team, composed
entirely ot sophomore students, we lost to
the Engineers. Meanwhile, our negative
team provided Riverside with some con-
crete arguments opposing Socialized Med-
icine, but Riverside rallied to a victory.
Our Debaters of this year seem to be
promising contenders for the City Cham-
pionship in l95l.
