He ohtained hoth his Bache1or of Science degree in education and his masters degree at Miami University, and hegan teaching here at Grove City Co11ege as Professor of Commerce in 19417. During the interim he served various1y as a high schoot teacher, principai, and superintendent in the Qhio schoot sys- tem, and was a professor at Wi1mington Conege and the Air Force institute of Technoiogy in Dayton. 1n his twenty years as a facuity memher of Grove City C01- 1ege, he was quite active in campus activities and expressed a sincere interest in the students, serving as advisor to the Young Repuhiican Ciuh, co-advisor to the Poiiticai Science Forum. and Campus Advisor to the Pennsyivania Center for Educa- tion in Potitics. Mr. 1V1acDona1d's enthusiasm for po1itics is tamiiiar to his co11eagues and his students-in 1960, he par- ticipated in the Repuhiican Nationai Nominating Convention. White his scho1ar1y 1cnow1edge has earned him the reputa- tion of heing an expert on Qiiver Wende11 Hoimes, Mr. Mac- Donaid does not 1imit his interests to one fieid. His coiieagues know him as a sports enthusiast, and particu1ar1y as an avid hasehaii fan.
