Modic, D. York, W. Curry, A. Johnston. From the time she first enters Grove City College ,until the time she becomes a sophomore, the freshman woman student is guided, advised and befriended by her Junior Counselor. Each counselor is selected in the second semester of her soph- omore year on the basis of her character, personality, extracur- ricular activities and scholastic achievement. Because these Counselors live with the freshmen, they are al- ways near-by to help guide their girls in their adjustment to the College. Guiding the freshman men through their first year at Grove City College are thirteen men counselors. These men were chosen by Dean Kring on the basis of their interest, experi- ence, and academic achieve- ments. The upperclass counsel- ors worked with Mr. Menden- hall to orient the freshmen and help them with all their difficul- ties, both social and academic. Because they live in the same dorm sections as the freshmen, they were always available to give advice and encouragement.
