PINE KNOT This issue of the PINE KNOT is published on the birthday of our nation ... 200 years old. It is only the 52nd for the yearbook ... we hope both have many more. One must work on the yearbook to appreciate the time needed to publish it. Finding new ideas, additional money, and ways to increase sales are just some of the problems faced every year by the staff. Each year a new cover is designed with new layouts for sections, new pictures of teachers, and activities throughout the book. This year color has been added and also some fantastic pictures by head photographer, Dave Taylor. Head Photographer, Dave Taylor checks one of his famous pictures. PINE KNOT Associate Editor Cindy Morley and PINE KNOT Editor Amy McCamey looking over the copy. Mr. Nial McCamey, Adviser, approves. GROVER STAR Newspapers are but a mirror of the area they cover and the GROVER STAR staff hopes the STAR has covered the many events of this school year. A dedicated staff gives uncounted hours writing, typing, retyping, picture taking and printing. Layouts and final proofs must be checked before the newspaper can be published. Editors Amy and Cindy designed and drew the advertising used in the paper this year. Pennsylvania School Press Association awarded 1 Keystone, 11 seconds, and 8 third place awards to members of the GROVER STAR stall at the annual PSPA meeting in Harrisburg. While you cannot return to the times of the past, you can remember them. We, the Editors and staff of the 1976 PINE KNOT, have compiled some of the best memories of the year 1976 so that they may once again become vivid in your mind. We hope you will return many times to the halls of Grove City High School through the use of this yearbook.
