We're Number One l!! Together we can do it. Together we did it! Combining physical strength. mental awareness, and spiritual involvement, our Razorbacks captured the long deserved title - San Diego County ClF Champions. The agony of defeat in the first two pre-season games. against Patrick Henry and Kearny, didn't blemish the players' spirits. Their determination gained them an almost perfect league record, with the only loss going to the EI Capitan Vaqueros. Our Razorbacks came to a sudden turning point, as we were meeting our arch-rival, Helix, in the final game determining who was going to the CIF - play-offs. Our stubborn defense pulled us through to a 9-7 victory, and we were on our way. Opening up the CIF attack at Aztec Bowl with a 6-3 record, our 'pigs' proceeded to gain a triumphant victory over undefeated Kearny, 21-17, Our next semi-final play-off was against undefeated Vista, as they bowed shamefully, 34-6, to our mighty offense. Our time was here again, but our thoughts and hopes were stronger than before, as we were meeting undefeated Patrick Henry. Together they proved that We're Number One by defeating Patrick Henry, 8-7, December 4, under the 'big lights' of the San Diego Stadium Above: After 52 years of waiting, Principal Walter Barnett receives Championship Trophy from Coach Pat Roberts.
