It will be difficult for us to accept the fact that Mrs. Blashill will no longer greet us with her cheery smile as we enter the library. Loved and respected by all who knew her, she gave all of herself to making the library the center of our school life. Always ready to help locate the proper reference or find the appropriate book, she served every one of us willingly and efficiently from the day she first accepted the staggering task of combining the Country Day and D.U.S. libraries in preparation for transfer to the new building, until early this year when she proudly announced that finally, after seven years, her expectations for her library were close to realization. The library was and is, in a very real sense, hers - her creation and her domain. It will long remain a tribute to the wonderful lady who gave herself to our service and who shall be sorely missed by us all.
