Emi P tiff fx? kata R40 G 'Qi , y A 5 I 0 R HARRY BLACKWELL ELIZABETH CADWELL ROBERT BEALE Bunions wandered into our halls in the tenth grade and has been hanging around ever since. His size and weight were wel- comed on all fields of sports, and he won two letters in basketball, one in football, and one in baseball. He was a member of the Dramatic Club, and his senior year found him Circulation Manager of the Periwn. Elected to U-Club. Harry is planning to enter the V-I2 program in July. That gleeful gal with the flowing blonde locks, the Hawaiian blue car, complete with musical horn, and the alarm clock is Miss Elizabeth Ellen Cadwell, known to her friends as Betsy, to her foes as Cynthy of Tri-Star fame, and to everybody as l943's lovely May Queen. Her sparkling wit is punctuated by her well-known stutter. Betsy is profoundly intelligent, but can find no reason for being at school at 8:40 A.M. She plans to fall, winter, and spring at Smith. Mobile joined our happy throng at the beginning of the tenth grade. His quiet manner and low whistle have become part of D.U.S. He played Varsity baseball for two years and in his Senior year was manager of the football team. As Circula- tion Manager of the Triangle he proved his merit, Theme song: That Old Black Magic. Bob will go into one of the armed forces soon after graduation.

CL SS ANNE FLETCHER GEORGE DOWNER SUSANNE KEMI' Beezie is a natural for anything concerned with big business. She is Country Day's most spectacular saleslady. She is a candid camera fan par excellence. As a tribute to her extensive knowledge in this field she was elected Photography editor of Pericml. She was on the Pen Pointe staff in the eleventh grade and on the Tri-Slar stat? from the ninth through eleventh grades. She is an excellent athlete and more than tine iuggler of mathematical problems. Dirty George came over from Country Day in the beginning ofthe twelfth grade, and he was immediately elected President of the Senior class. His quiet dependa- bility has won him many friends. He earned two letters in Varsity baseball, and one in Varsity football, subsequently elected to the U-Club. Favorite line: You don't have to read off my name. Coach. George is heading for the Army after graduation. Susie is known not only for her extraordi- nary mind and popularity, but also for her executive and athletic ability. Not only was she editor of the '42 Pen Pointe but also of the '43 Pericon. Susie is the class expert of sparkling repartee. We shall always remember her as the class salutatorian, and as the smilingly lovely May Queen attendant in '42, Susie will continue her success on the beautiful Wellesley' campus next fall. 'xx
