Like the rocket, Grosse Pointe High School is chart-
ing new directions. More and more confidently, it is
broadening old paths and creating new ones.
Today's challenge provides the thrust to break away
from inclinations to stand fast and rest on past laurels.
More changes will follow the changes already insti-
tuted. The curriculum will become more comprehen-
sive, new in some respects but still retaining the best
of the old.
With vital interest the Class of June, 1959, will
watch the progress along the new paths first traveled
during its high school years. Today's seniors feel special
pride in having been pioneers in new directions in
