There are many jobs to be done behind the scenes. One of the most impor- tant is letting the rest of the school know there is going to be a play. Putting up the banner to advertise the spring production are Tom Ketzler, and Doug Howe, lOB's. All you have to do to become a member of Y-Teens is sign up. Sandy Taylor, HA, Delta Y-Teens secretary, helps .lucly Delaney, lOB, enroll in one ot the four Y-Teens groups sponsored by the high school. l' if lit.-it ,gifs Aff in effing Started It was raining. The gloomy, dullness of the dark day closed in on him as he sat in homeroom, but jim didn't mindg it suited his mood: he hated being a IOB. As he stared disappointedly at the bright new text books lying on the desk, he reflected how wrong the guy down the street had been when he told him high school was a wonder- ful life. Sure, maybe the kids that belonged to a lot of clubs and other things had fun . . . but what if you didn't belong? Band members are kept on their toes practicing for the various occasions ot which the band plays, New members find the going pretty tough at first, but as Bonnie Averill, Ed Pongracz, and Otto Scherer, lOB's, are finding out, the final result is worth all the trouble. Earning fifteen hours of service points really isn't as bad as it sounds, especially when the result is HifY membership. The Blue and Gold Hi-Y are two of the most active clubs in the school. Phil Warren, Brad Tisdale, and Sandy MacMechan, l0B's, clean out the files in the civics room to earn some of their points. diva
