TAOG 1974 GROESBECK HIGH SCHOOL GROESBECK TEXAS ADMINISTRATION 3 STUDENT BODY 9 ORGANIZATIONS 41 FAVORITES 53 ATHLETICS 65 ACTIVITIES 75 ADVERTISEMENTS 92 1 This year we have looked through G. H. S.'s windows and this is what we have seen: We've seen teachers who felt it was important to know about the past, the present, and the future because they believe it to be so. We've seen young, eager faces trying to find out what education is all about and what they want to do with their lives. We've seen girls forgetting everything but their date on Saturday night, and we’ve seen boys acting their best on the date. We've seen rodeos, football and basketball games, where sometimes we came home happy and sometimes sad. We’ve seen organizations with devoted members and we've seen happy students in a beautiful new school. We've liked what we've seen, so we, the editors of the 1974 TAOG, invited you to take a look. We think you'll like what you see. 2 SCHOOL BOARD LEFT TO RIGHT: Mr. Thompson, Mr. Beaver, Mr. Longbotham, Miss White, Mrs. Seamans, Mr. Kibler, Mr. Beard. This year we want to SALUTE our School Board for the hard work that they have so unselfishly donated. The School Board met for many long hours on the second Thursday of every month (and many called meetings in between) in order to plan and work toward the completion of our new high school. This goal was completed for our use during this school year and we, the Student Body of G. H. S., want to say thank you for a job well done. 4 Mr. Jack Foshee, PRINCIPAL Mr. E. S. LONGINGS, WE LAUGHED, WE LOVED, WE PLAYED, WE WON. THOSE WERE OUR SCHOOL DAYS, OUR HAPPY DAYS. THEY WERE REAL BECAUSE WE MADE THEM REAL. THEY WERE ALIVE BECAUSE WE EXISTED. AND THEN, AS SUDDENLY AS THEY HAD DAWNED, THEY FADED INTO THE LESS CAREFREE DAYS OF ADULTHOOD. AND FINALLY THEY ARE NOW GONE . . . THOSE HAPPY DAYS IN SCHOOL.
