Mr. Ralph Welch
The Board of Education believes that our schools
are dedicated to the challenge of equipping
children with the knowledge necessary to Work
and live successfully and provide leadership in

Mr. Welch is responsible for
the administration and super-
vision of the entire school,
while Mr. Schieffelbine is
responsible for the supervision
of individual students.

Mr . Harold Henriksen
Throughout his sixteen years with our school, Mr. Henriksen has been a friend
of student and teacher alike. He is the one a student turns to when a friend's
advice is needed. He has been attendance supervisor, math teacher, and for
the past two years, he has counseled the class of l968. We also dedicate this
eflrrow to you, Mr. Henriksen.

Mr. Schieffelbine had a long record of service w1th the district prior
to coming to Griffiths. I-Ie was an lndustrial arts teacher at South, an
attendance officer and vice principal at West, and th1s year he traded
places with Mr. Huesca to become our vice principal
In his first year at Griffiths, Mr Schieffelbine is getting along well
with the students, and because of h1s good natured attitude, he has
been readily accepted by teachers and students alike

In your 15 years at Griffiths, you
served unselfishly, relentlessly,
and efficiently. As Dean of Girls,
you were responsible for registration
of all students. As seventh grade
counselor, you helped us plan satis-
factory schedules, and you were al-
ways there with a comforting smile
if we had a problem.
Griffiths junior High School students,
faculty, administration, and staff,
will miss you, Mrs. I-Iighsmith.
