S E N I 0 Il S CALENDAR August 31-Doors open wide as underclassmen rush in to meet new friends and teachers. September 4-Fifteen rahs for our winning football team-with swell cheerleaders. September 7-Hurrah! a holiday-gives students a chance to re- cuperate after rushed schedule of school. October 16-What? Another holiday! G.E.A. day. Students play -while teachers go to school. October 18- What a ring! Ain't they pretty! Mine don't fit! These were the echoes heard down hall as the seniors received their class rings. November 13-Victory over LaGrange closes football season with only two defeats. November 25-Turkey, Pumpkin Pie, Cranberry Sauce, and the wonderful play by Tri-Hi-Y and Hi-Y clubs impress all students. November 26-27--Thanksgiving holidays at last! December 10-The first basketball game opens with Thomaston with Woodward and Lee as captains. December 17-Pam Byars and Wayne Farr, Senior mascots, stole the Seniors' hearts. December 18-White Christmas, Carols, Mistletoe and an impres- PATRICIA ANN AIKEN HELEN VASTIRE ALEORD sive Christmas pageant dominate the minds of students over the four- SAMUEL E, ALLEN ANN ANDREWS teen wonderful Christmas Holidays. January 22-After long EXAMS happy smiling faces look dim from lack of sleep! February 13-A night to remember! G.H.S. Band Concert con- ducted by Mr. Tascar Williams. February 26--Faculty Basketball game-most talked about event of the year. March 18-19--Day dreaming, spring fever all help us to obtain two official days to play hooky. May 28- Honor Day Beaming Seniors receive awards for outstanding ability. May 31- No more pencils - No more books. School's out!!! June 1-Graduation-Caps and gowns take the spotlight,-while the Seniors look sad after receiving diplomas. Good luck in the future!
