STU DENT COUNCIL The student council is composed of students who are elected by their classmates to direct the activities of the student body. They okay the expenditure of student body funds, limit the nominees for student body officers from the petitions presented and decide on other matters pertaining to the welfare of the student body. This year they authorized the money to buy robes for the Choir and limited the nominees for '50-'Sl offices. The Student Council sits to guard the honor of Gresham Union High School, to determine policies with respect to student affairs and to supervise in the general way expenditures of money. This is done subject to faculty approval, and it is rare that the judgment of our student council members is questioned, or changes suggested in their decisions.
