The Senior play, Beauty and the Beefv, was a smashing success, too. When a girl who was a Junior Quiz Program student upoisonsl' a foot ball team, there is 'bound to be trouble. The play revolved around a girl and her 'family who had moved to Winnebagushie, Minn. She fell head over heels in love with the beef, who Feemed to 'be a brain only in football. Then Beef was suspended, and there wasn't a chance o their winning the game with Hastings. But with the help of some epicac, Beauty postpones the game, and Winnebagushie won after all. Left: Speak to me, Bubbles, speak to me! Right: A guy would sure look funny leading the band onto the 'field playing a violin, wouldn't he? 57

The entire action took place in Creepy Castle, a rambling old farm- house near the Missouri village of Riverton. The cast included a group of Tommy Upton's I Otto college friends, one of his teachers and his Lew father. Their aim was to frighten Tommy to keep him from going to so many horror movies. Student Council fx The student council is the govern- ing body of GHS. Each class elects one representative to be on the coun- cil along with the class president. The council and its advisors are in charge of the carnival. They set up the various booths and choose the students to work in them. The vice president is a Junior, who is elected by the student body.
