That is a subject for extended debate. But unquestionably a freshman receives advantages of both junior and sen- ior high school. The boys may pick up the challenge offered by the opportunity to try out for varsity athletics. The girls may seek their fame in the Drum Corps. For the first time in their scholastic lives, freshmen get a choice of subjects. It's a big step in accepting the responsibility of running their own lives. These happy-go-lucky freshmen are still part of the carefree group of the junior high school. Nevertheless they're getting a taste of life in the top three grades.
