Class Herbert Collins Would you like to buy an ad? You wouldn't have to tell a sophomore what that means. Sell- ing ads is part of the traditional sophomore project of preparing and selling programs for Greenwood's Annual Blue and Gold Basketball Tournament. Although this project is the high- light of the year to the sophomores, the tenth year at Greenwood offers much more. The sopho- more finds new opportunities in athletics and new enjoyment in outside activities. Because he has more freedom of choice in his subjects, he finds new interest in his schoolwork as well. The sophomore year is a big step forward long to be remembered by all Greenwoodites. Class ,zi N4 Frank Jacks hub Suzanne Wann David Hudson Wilma Geil John Love Richard Donaldson Kay Collins Mark Rosen A freshman at Greenwood is always eager to know if he's now in the first year of senior high school or the last year of junior high school. That is a subject for extended debate. But unquestionably a freshman receives advantages of both junior and sen- ior high school. The boys may pick up the challenge offered by the opportunity to try out for varsity athletics. The girls may seek their fame in the Drum Corps. For the first time in their scholastic lives, freshmen get a choice of subjects. It's a big step in accepting the responsibility of running their own lives. These happy-go-lucky freshmen are still part of the carefree group of the junior high school. Nevertheless they're getting a taste of life in the top three grades.
