V . 1. , 4 ja ir reenwoo SI' QQQHWOO 1- W I ,W fjygyff On a beautiful October 3, Greenwood held its annual Homecoming The festivities began with the registration of the alumni The next attraction was a football game with Walnut Frove, from which our boys emerged victorious The highlight of the afternoon Came at the half of the game The Drum Corps fonned two lines and, at the sound of a bugle fanfare, the convertible bearing the lovely queen and her attendants was driven between the lines The queen, Ann Calbert, her two attendants, Susie Johnson and Beverly Brown, and crown bearer, Jackie Blair, were presented to the spectators by Student Body President Maynard Cinsburg The queen was presented a lovely crown of white carnations and a bou quet of mums The attendants were presented with corsages of white mums The day was climaxed by the dance which was held in the Student Center Ballroom Johnny Mac furnished the music for the eveni g At irtermnssion the queen and her atten dants were again introduced by the Student Body President, and the queen made a welcoming speech to the alumni Then there was a special dance for the queen and her attendants A reception was held in the Student Lounge Also at intermission the alumni held election of officers at which time Mrs John Blair was elected president for the coming year Lgj I b VI 033' I I I I A ,ff A , ca I . . . i . . . . . . . . , I g 1 . . . . . . .D I .
