ABSENT: Jeannette Bell, Suzanne Madison. The Greenwood Drum Corps was organized in the fall of 1937. It was founded to pro- mote school spirit and to sit in a body at all home athletic contests. Under the expert su- pervision of Miss Henrietta Keller and Mrs. Florence Bugg, the Drum Corps has grown from eighteen members to a group of forty complete with drums, bugles, cymbals, twirlers, flags, and bells. The uniforms are colorful but simple, white skirts, blue jackets, white shoes, socks, and gloves, and blue military hats. The blue drums, shiny bugles, and four beautiful flags add to the harmonious picture the Drum Corps presents. This year the Drum Corps marched at home football and basketball games. It was co- hostess with the G.G.A.A. at the football banquet. Because of travel restrictions, the group did not attend any out-of-town games in a body. The Drum Corps supports all school interests and is an outstanding activity for the girls of Greenwood. V This year the senior drum major was Sally Jo Johnson, and the junior drum major was Sylvia Smith.
