A number of varied and interesting activities were on the calendar of events and were successfully carried out. The purpose of the Hi-Y is to create, main- I-I l 'Y tain, and extend throughout the school and com- munity, high standards of Christian character. It is a very worthwhile and constructive organi- zation for boys in the senior high school. The Future Teachers of America, or the Van Dyke Club, is an organization created for girls or boys who wish to make teaching their career. To gain experience in teaching, Miss Hammerlun, the adviser, permits the members to take charge of their Social Science classes ,once or twice a year. Two meetings are held each month, one discussion and the other a lecture meeting.
