Pat has taicen part in many activities during her four years at G.H.S. She has been one of our cheer- leaders for three years, ancl this year was our Secretary of State. Other activities in which she has taken an active part are G.A.A. anci intramural athletics, plays-one-act, Junior, and Senior- Iiiorary staff, Graduate and Times staffs. In spite of all these activities Pat has maintained a high scholastic average, and is a member of our High G Ciuh. Our Best Citizens SKIP BEDNAREK was voted Best Citizenn of our Senior boys. Tony Hoplcins turned pitcher tor one game and twirled the Flyers over Cotteen again by allowing only two hits. On the diamond the squad was strong defensively and was deep in reserves. J Q 7 INTRAMURAL ATHLETICS For boys who clidnit talce part in varsity sports, an intensive intramural sports program was adopted. This program attracted approximately 85mg partici- pation. On lwlonday nights the boys had the gym and played sponsored loaslcetball. The girls, too, had their share of sports. Miss Calhoun directed them and hiked the girl participation. During the noon hour hoth hoys and girls carried on an extensive intramural program throughout the year-the boys on Nlondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: the girls on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tournaments were held in various sports and were attended by enthusiastic groups of spectators from the student body.
