An unidentified Greenville player is carrying the ball and being tackled. Rocky Briggs, 83, is looking on. Doug VanSyckle, 35, is going up for the rebound. The 1973 Hi-Life Staff has chosen to build this yearbook around the idea of pride. Pride is not necessarily found in a group, it is more often found in the individual. Pride is not only found in the school, it can be exhibited everywhere. In this yearbook, we would like to show the different areas. A Greenville Junior Varsity wrestler is riding out the period. Jim Laurent, 13, is getting ready to pass to another Our competition with Bclding for the Legion I rophy is a symbol of GHS J.V. player. Tri-captains are Jim Malone, Fran Barnwell and DaveTeman. 2

Sue Kropewnicki, J.V. cheerleader, is cheering during a home game. Pride is expressed in all the sports including cheerleading. It takes much practice and determination for all athletes in all sports. This year there were three new girl’s sports. These included: tennis, basketball and golf. They were fairly successful. GHS has also formed a freshman squad of cheerleaders; now there are three squads. Some of the conference accomplishments of this year were: varsity football team placed second, cross country second, golf first, basketball first and wrestling third. Sue Jorgensen, 12, is stretching for the jump ball. Trying to help are Connie Ostrom, 10, and Karen Moore, 40. Norma Nichols has served the tennis ball. Fred Muns is chipping with a seven iron. judy Grow, Varsity cheerleader, is practicing for competition and the upcoming basketball games. Lori Clementshaw, Freshman cheerleader, is cheering the “Eat ’em up” cheer. Wes Olsen, Steve Sims and Ron Thomas are fighting for the lead with a Sparta opponent. 3
