The J. V. team complied an outstanding 8—1 record, which can be accredited to a fine performance of the entire squad. Some individuals deserve special recognition: fullbacks Jim Wolverton and Frank Gibson exhibited exceptional drive and determination; co-captains A1 Brown and Wayne Pierantoni provided excellent team leadership; end Paul Bidstrup’s fine catches greatly aided the team. Under the coaching of Mr. Watson and Mr. Nichols, they lost only one game and blanked five of their seven opponents.
