COUNSELORS The Student Personnel Services Department is one of the most necessary and important parts of our school. The counselors. Miss Zimmerman, Mr. Oliver, and Mr. VanOss, provide the services that every student meets and those that any student may request. Most students meet the counselors through problems in planning which classes to take, in planning for education after high school, or in discussing ratings of standardized achievement, intelligence or vocational testing. The “Counselors’ Office” also provides a part-time job service, vocational information, college and scholarship information, personal and family counseling, ability grouping and scheduling services, and practical experience such as the Nurses’ Aide program. Each and every student needs and uses the services offered here and appreciates the time and effort spent on planning for his high school life and his life after graduation. Mr. Oliver Miss Zimmerman

CUSTODIANS When you want a locker opened, or need more heat, or just plain need someone to talk to, the custodial staff fills the bill. Aside from this, they clean and sweep the halls and classrooms, keep the bathrooms shiny, and aid teachers in rigging up new apparatus for their projects. They are handymen and we’re lucky to have such cheerful, handy handymen. Mr. Olsen, Mr. Ebels, and Mr. Ruikka KITCHEN STAFF It takes a lot of help in the kitchen to prepare and serve meals for more than nine hundred students and faculty every day. Food preparation is under the care of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Uard and Mrs. Lucille Cory. This group serves from the stcarr. table, collects and punches lunch tickets and cleans the serving trays after lunch. It only takes about twenty-five minutes to feed the whole school. 13
