Working as a legislative and judicial body, our Board carries on such duties as developing a budget, setting up payrolls, studying teachers' qualifications—in short, it makes decisions concerned with management and policy-making. THE ADMINISTRATION Outlining and enumerating the jobs which fall under the jurisdiction of our principal is a difficult task, for his is a job which cannot be written or explained in a sentence or two. His is an ever-changing score of duties which are often hectic and difficult. Yet, Mr. Dalman has carried them out in a manner befitting both him and us. Through his efforts, Greenville High has continued to grow as a fine educational institution. Howard Dalman, Principal As the Superintendent of Greenville schools, Mr. Allinder has served as the adviser and executive unit to our Board of Education for many years. To him belongs the responsibility of an efficient and effective administration. By working with the teachers, principals, and civic groups, he is able to make qualified recommendations for Board action. Our sincere appreciation goes to him for the work he has accomplished.
